Do you want to know the Requires Empty Food Storage Item in Dwarf Fortress, you are at the right spot. Here in this post, we covered the complete guide on how to get Empty Food Storage in Dwarf Fortress.
Dwarf Fortress is an amazing game with many mechanics, some of which may drive you up the in-game wall. It leaves much to figure out by yourself, although some in-game issues just do not appear to be resolving no matter what you actually do.
Having empty food storage is another issue that many gamers face when trying to brew in-game drinks under the impression that they have everything they require. Here is the complete guide on how to get empty food storage in Dwarf Fortress.
Requires Empty Food Storage Item
One infuriating in-game message you may receive is that your dwarves are not brewing drinks due to no free food storage in the game. Free food storage actually refers to an empty barrel where they can throw the drinks. There are some methods that you may have to try to solve this problem in the game.
Make More Barrels
One possible solution would be to create more in-game barrels. Set your Metalsmith’s Forge or Carpenter’s Workshop to produce a whole bunch of barrels. In this way, there is more than ample space to store your food and your drinks. You can actually never do with enough barrels in Dwarf Fortress game.
With all of your in-game empty barrels in a stockpile dedicated to food (including drinks), your dwarves should not have a problem placing their produced drink into a barrel of their choice in the game.
Remember that there are many different types of available drinks, such as wines and ales that they will not put into the same barrel.
Even if you have many barrels with some booze then they may complain that they do not have enough in-game space because the type of alcohol they are creating can not actually mix with the existing barrels’ content in the game.
Sort Out An Input And Output
Choose Still and click on the stockpile option in the top right corner. You may need to directly choose which stockpile the Still should take in-game items from and the stockpile the Still should send items to.
Therefore, select your in-game food stockpile with empty barrels as the output stockpile and then choose any other in-game stockpile with plants as the input stockpile.
One stockpile can’t be both the output and input stockpile, so you will need to separate your drink barrels from your in-game plants. With the new in-game instructions, your dwarves may have a better time knowing what barrels to actually use. In this case, be sure you have many barrels spare in the game.
Your Still itself may contain a barrel with alcohol in it in the game. You can actually check this by tapping on the still and looking at the section below, where there will be the in-game item used to make the Still and the barrel of booze in the game.
This barrel will still be in the brewing stage even if no one is there actually working on it. Barrels may get stuck in the supply line if you did not have enough plants to brew enough of that alcohol type in the game.
