Warzone 2’s third season introduces the Scavenger boss to the DMZ mode, adding a unique challenge for players exploring Al Mazrah or Ashika Island. This elusive mini-boss is not only hard to find but also difficult to defeat, as he’s accompanied by AI soldiers. The new Redacted faction offers a mission called Calling Card, requiring players to take down the Scavenger and collect three of his calling cards.

How can you Find and Kill the Scavenger in Warzone 2 DMZ?
To find the Scavenger in Warzone 2 DMZ, focus on eliminating Operators, who are other online players. The Scavenger emerges to collect dog tags found only on defeated Operators. Hence, to locate him, you need to either take down enemy Operators or come across their bodies. It may take between three to 10 minutes for the Scavenger to appear after finding an Operator’s body with its dog tags. The Scavenger, dressed in a dark ghillie suit, is usually accompanied by four or five powerful AI Combatants.
You can also find the Scavenger by looking for his icon on the map in either Ashika Island or Al Mazrah. Upon discovering the icon, head towards it and eliminate the Scavenger’s troops before taking him down. The Scavenger can be found in general areas on both maps, with Al Mazrah featuring him near the dunes and Ashika Island along the shoreline. The game provides a warning when you’re near the Scavenger, and a new icon will appear on your map to show his exact location.
While tracking the Scavenger, you’ll come across bodies with the Scavenger’s calling cards. Following the trail can lead you to the boss, who will be surrounded by fully-armored soldiers. Concentrate on defeating the Scavenger while aiming for the head consistently. Use cover and rotate between different cover points while engaging him. Once you’ve defeated the Scavenger and his soldiers, loot the boss’ body for valuable items such as weapon blueprints, Secure and Scavenger Backpacks, killstreaks, and more.
